Table lamps — Intimité

Creating lighting suited to your needs

A table or bedside lamp provides task lighting exactly where it is truly useful: near a bed, an armchair, a desk, on a console table, or at the end of a sofa. It allows you to adjust the ambiance without turning on all the lighting in the room. In a small space, this additional light source can make the room feel softer and more practical, provided you choose a size adapted to the furniture and the space available.

Start with the intended use. For reading, the light source should illuminate the pages without disturbing someone sitting or lying nearby. For a nightstand, check the height of the tabletop and keep an area free for everyday items. On a desk, position the lamp to limit shadows on the work surface. In a living room, it can complement a pendant light or a ceiling light to create several layers of light.

Proportions matter just as much as style. A small lamp on a large piece of furniture risks disappearing visually, while a model that is too imposing can make a narrow table less functional. Measure the intended location, consider the cable path if applicable, and leave some clearance around the object. The materials, colors, and the shape of the lampshade or diffuser also influence how the lamp integrates into your decor.

Features vary by model. Consult the product page before choosing: dimensions, variants, power supply, bulb or light source, as well as delivery information.
